Ghosts have many supporting facts but many that still don’t explain if they exist or not. In the book “Hamlet” his father visits Horatio then visits his son Hamlet to tell him the truth to what happened to him, but no one else see’s this ghost that Hamlet see’s. Im neutral towards ghosts, I have to see it to beleive it, but I have been to many haunted places and it was just old abandon houses to me. My mom told me a story of a haunted house that we lived in, it was a murder-suicide and crazy stuff would happen all around the house, but for some reason it never happened to me when I there. I think why so many people are facinated with ghosts is that its the unknown but they are someone’s loved one. People are always trying to find ghosts so they can prove that they exist and there is a place that we go.
Assignment #3
The Lyre bird is a awesome animal. It can mimic any sound it hear’s. Lyre birds are rarely seen in its habitat. They perform a courtship dance to find a mate, and this can last for hours or till it finds its mate. Male Lyre birds stand out from the females because they have the tail that can expand and perform a show for the female bird. Lyre birds habitat’s are being destroyed by construction workers/loggers. They need a special habitat that is off limits to humans so they can live longer and have a larger population.
Media Effects on Body Image
The media has controlled the body image of people for a very long time. It seems that people that feel uncomfortable about their body they will base off what they want to be like off the TV and take diets from what they offer. Some think it is attractive to be skinny, and some think its unattractive to be skinny. Healthy diets are very good for your body, but some take shortcuts to become skinny, and it is very risky to do that.
8/20/09 Canterbury
I would like to do a pilgrimage with the Knight from The Canterbury Tales, because if we got jumped by bandits while on the pilgrimage we would stand a chance against them in combat, and The Knight would be a gentleman and help anyone in trouble if needed.
I wouldn’t be able to tolerate The Nun from The Canterbury Tales because she is selfish, she would bring animals along, and I don’t think she could be able to stomach the pilgrimage. I would think that she would blow all of our money while on the pilgrimage before we even left to go on it.
How I feel about blogging.
I think this is a good idea for a high school english class to express yourself and easy access to the other blog’s students made that are in your class. I have never used blogging in one of my classes. I predict that this will be a good thing for the class. I look forward to this new idea of using blogging in class for writing assignments, because its easy to share amoung students.
